DVD Duplication

DVD Replication
The DVD replication process – for quantities over 1,000 – converts both audio and video to DVD format. Our DVD replication technology allows for storage capacities many times greater than those of the standard compact disc. Your DVD can contain data on one or both sides and has dual-level capabilities that increase the amount of information available.
DVD Authoring
By using DVDs for your next project, you have the option of adding a custom motion menu rather than the traditional still menu. Authoring the DVD means creating special menus with link and chapter points. These will help your customers decide where to begin viewing, which language to select, and many other special features. Price quotes for these services are available on a per project basis. |
The DVD Advantage
A DVD-ROM is capable of storing up to 12 times the data of the standard compact disc!
A single-layer DVD 5 can hold 133 minutes of video while simultaneously allowing for 5.1 channel digital sound in up to three languages and up to four subtitles. A dual-layer DVD 9 format can accommodate up to 240 minutes of video and a double-sided single layer DVD-10 can hold up to 250 minutes.
We print directly onto the face of your DVD single-sided projects (sizes 5 and 9). We use silk screen, ink jet and offset printing depending on the scope of your project.
Silk Screen
For replicated DVDs, we use silkscreen printers – for that professional look you’ll find on store-bought CDs and DVDs. As it applies to DVDs, the process is the same as that of screening t-shirts. PMS color inks are applied in layers with the use of silk screens. The process begins by exposing a film to a screen covered in a layer of light-sensitive emulsion. After processing, the resulting image is a clear area on the screen that allows the ink through the screen.
Ink Jet
For duplicated DVDs, we use ink jet printing for a high-quality, customized finish. With the capability of high resolutions (1200x1200dpi), a true photo-quality product is achieved. This is an effective method for short-run jobs with quick turnaround times. To avoid the possibility of smudging on DVDs with a longer user life – marketing material, software products, etc. – a lacquer spray is available.
Offset Printing
Offset printing is also available for duplicated and replicated CDs. For top-quality CD printing, the offset method is second to none. A printing plate is prepared for every color that is going to be printed. Ink from the plates is transferred (offset) onto a cylindrical rubber roll (“blanket”) which then transfers the ink onto the CD face. |
